OF THE OLEOMED COMPETITION

2nd Edition of the National Competition for “Extra Virgin” Olive Oil – OLEOMED 2026

Organization

The OLEOMED 2026 competition is organised by GRFI Filaha Innov & SIPSA Afrika Food, en
collaboration avec l’Zaytouna Mubaraka Association of Bordj Bou Arreridj.

Competition objectives

Le concours a pour objectifs de :

     Rewarding the best extra virgin olive oils produced in Algeria;

     Encourager l’amélioration continue de la qualité ;

     Offrir une meilleure visibilité aux producteurs primés ;

    Valoriser les terroirs, les savoir-faire et les producteurs d’exception.

Huiles éligibles

The competition is open to vierge extra :

  • Conventional, Or
  • Biological.

Les huiles présentées doivent :

  • To come from a homogeneous batch with a minimum volume of 100 litres ;
  • To be packaged in bottles or suitable containers with a capacity of 1 litre or less..

Sample format

For each entry, samples must be submitted in one of the following formats:

  • 2 bottles (750 ml each)
  • 3 bottles of 500 ml
  • 4 bottles, 250 ml each

Calendrier 

  • March 20, 2026 : Official opening of registration;
  • May 12, 2026 : Registration deadline and deadline for sample submission;
  • May 18 and 19, 2026 : évaluation sensorielle 
  • May 20, 2026 : official announcement of the results;
  • May 21, 2026 : cérémonie officielle de remise des prix.

Fees and Terms of Participation

  • Registration fee : 3 000 DZD per sample;
  • Payment method : CCP transfer to the RIP account 00799999000092878676 ;
  • Confirmation required : Please send the payment receipt to the following address: afrikafood@gmail.com 
  • Inscription : via the official online form, which must be filled out accurately.

Technical Committee

The technical committee is responsible for:

  • To receive the samples,
  • Verify that the documents provided are in order;
  • To check the labels,
  • Ensure that samples are coded confidentially prior to evaluation.

Jury and Evaluation

The jury, chaired by the President of the OLEOMED competition and Chair of the SIPSA Afrika Food Organizing Committee, is composed of recognized national and international experts in the field.

Each sample is evaluated rigoureuse, impartiale et anonyme.

  • OLEOMED Trophy
  • Platinum Medal ;
  • Gold Medal ;
  • Silver Medal ;
  • Bronze Medal.

Awards ceremony

The official awards ceremony will be held:

  • Address: : DAR EL DJAZAIR – Exhibition Center ;
  • Date : May 21, 2026 ;
  • Timing : starting at 2:00 p.m..
