In 2019, the 19th edition of SIPSA brought together nearly 550 exhibitors, including 59% international from 39 countries, and recorded 23,000 professional entries.
This increase in visitor numbers and the expansion to 30,000 m² of exhibition space have contributed to generating a business climate and fruitful and dense professional exchanges.
This 20th edition uses its original SIPSA logo and associates FILAHA with AGROFOOD AFRIKA, a session which comes in a new economic context with the new governance which wants to promote national agricultural products in the agro-industry and that agriculture remains an attractive sector for Investors. Every year, a dynamic development of many sectors takes shape, especially since the launch of the agricultural and rural renewal program in 2008, and the FELLAHA program in 2012.
Indeed, world-renowned operators have remained faithful to this event. Professionals in this sector see the Algerian agricultural and agri-food market as a sure opportunity to achieve good business and participate in the development of the rapidly changing agricultural and fisheries sectors.
Once again, the GRFI « FILAHA INNOVATE » has honored agricultural innovation with a view to the introduction of new technologies on the theme « For intelligent agriculture, facing the challenge of a sustainable food and health security ».
In this context, the 2 nd SIPSA INNOV’ competition open to the MAGHREB is organized for start-ups, researchers, academics, research centers and schools, farmers and operators. It should be noted that the use of new digital technologies opens up promising prospects for the promotion of so-called smart agriculture.
By highlighting this theme, the SIPSA exhibition continues its contribution to identifying the most appropriate strategies to sustainably increase the productivity and resilience of crops and works in the continuity of the consolidation of the bases of our food security which constitutes the line of sight of Algerian national policy in this area.
The forums organized on the sidelines of the SIPSA-FILAHA show are mainly based in this edition on the recommendations issued during previous forums.

AGRO-ECO:
International Forum of Agroecology, Horticultural Environment and Sustainable Development will bring together the actors involved in agroecology, organic farming and other local products, agrotourism and the enhancement of the environment and natural spaces in urban and peri-urban environment to interact together and anticipate the forecasts, innovations and transformations necessary to ensure sustainable food security.
FIV: North African Veterinary Forum, UMAVET (Maghreb Union of Veterinary Associations)
This brotherly meeting will certainly be studious, encompassing current themes, such as the place of the North African veterinarian in the chessboard of globalization, food safety, the spearhead of the profession, and antibiotic – resistance as part of the « One HEALTH » concept.
SIAFIL EXPORT:
Interprofessional Forum for Fruits and Vegetables for Export will focus on the strengths and weaknesses of our companies in the field of fruit and vegetable export and will highlight the role of logistics and certification in the development of the export.

SIPSA-FILAHA will celebrate its TWENTIETH ANNIVERSARY!!
SIPSA & FILAHA-AGROFOOD, through its role as a platform for exchanges and exhibition, participates and will participate in the evolution and development of Algerian Agriculture in the new Republic. President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has emphasized in his political program the priority on agriculture, the development of Saharan agriculture, and mountain agriculture, innovation and smart agriculture will remain the focal point of our new policy which should boost investment by encouraging partnerships with international companies by creating joint ventures thanks to the removal of the 49/51 rule .**
Indeed, since 2001, when SIPSA was created, we have counted more than 123 companies that have consolidated joint ventures with Algerian agricultural companies in different sectors, animal, plant and fish production.
It is an immeasurable satisfaction for SIPSA to have contributed to the development of the agricultural sector of our region and to rural development, and fully applied the agricultural and rural renewal policy in the various government programs.
In the coming years, we will strive to have the much desired ambition, to bring together the AGRICULTURAL MAGHREB, at least the three countries, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia to go together to conquer this colossal and still virgin market, to southern borders of our countries which is Africa.
Another challenge awaits us, it is the organization of agricultural sectors and niches for export in order to enter the court of the major exporters of agricultural products, thanks to the establishment of certification, standardization and logistics and serenely approach international markets. EXPORT, SIPSA-FILAHA will represent in terms of agriculture and agri-food Algerian production for export, in the dynamics of ZLECAF. « African Continental Free Trade Area »
In this context, our approach will still be in line with the support of the government’s strategy in terms of policies organized by the ministries of trade and the dynamics of our exports in general and those of agricultural exports and their agri-food valuation. in particularr. with AGROFOOD
It is also with this in mind that SIPSA-FILAHA will decline on its twentieth anniversary an event AGROFOOD-AFRIKA which will certainly promote national agricultural production upstream and its transformation into agro-industry in downstream. What will make SIPSA-FILAHA & AGROFOOD AFRIKA, a new and innovative international event at the gates of the Maghreb and Africa.
