DJAZAQUA
Who are we?

Created in 2006, the « DJAZAQUA » fishing and fisheries exhibition It is a response to the national recovery plan launched by the Ministry of Fisheries and Fishery Resources, which encourages any investment operation within the framework of the modernization and development of productive activities linked to aquaculture, fishing and related industries, either in the form of direct investment or partnership.

DJAZAQUA is an international forum where current issues in fisheries and fisheries production are discussed. This forum represents a unique opportunity for producers and suppliers from all over the world to get in touch with customers in the sector in Algeria and Africa.

Algeria's potential in the fisheries and fish production sector

  • A large domestic market for fishery and aquaculture products rapidly growing markets in neighbouring countries.
  • A very large volume of water resources, almost all of which remains unexploited: a potential of approximately 100,000 hectares of natural or artificial water resources across the 1620 km of coastline.
  • Diverse and high quality fishery resources (noble fish, crustaceans, cephalopods and algae).
  • Easy access to government financial aid and a strong political will to develop the fisheries and aquaculture sector.
